Counting one by one is slow — let's learn skip counting! When you count by 2s, 5s, or 10s, you count much faster. This is also the secret to learning multiplication!
📚 What Is Skip Counting?
Skip counting means jumping over some numbers and counting by the same amount each time:
🎮 Skip Counting by 2s
Every time you count by 2, you're saying every even number:
2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20
Real-life: Count pairs of shoes, eyes on faces, or wheels on bicycles!
✋ Skip Counting by 5s
Counting by 5s is easy — use your fingers! Each hand has 5 fingers:
5(1 hand), 10(2 hands), 15(3 hands), 20(4 hands), ...
Pattern: Numbers end in 5 or 0: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50
🔟 Skip Counting by 10s
Counting by 10s is even easier — the tens digit goes up by 1:
10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100
Real-life: Count dimes(each is 10¢)or groups of 10 items!

Each skip counting pattern has a rhythm:
