🎯 What Will We Learn Today?
The world around us is full of 3D shapes! Today we'll meet the most common solid shapes and learn to recognize them.
📚 Meet the 3D Shapes
Cube 🎲
A cube has 6 square faces, all the same size. Think of dice, building blocks, or a sugar cube.
Sphere ⚽
A sphere is perfectly round — every point on its surface is the same distance from the center. Think of a basketball, marble, or the Earth!
How is it different from a circle? A circle is flat (2D). A sphere is solid (3D)!
Cylinder 🥫
A cylinder has 2 circular faces (top and bottom) connected by a curved surface. Think of a soup can, a log, or a battery.
Cone 🍦
A cone has 1 circular face (the base) that tapers to a point (the apex). Think of an ice cream cone or a party hat!
Rectangular Prism 📦
Like a cube but with rectangle faces instead of squares. Think of a shoebox, a cereal box, or a brick.
Pyramid 🔺
A pyramid has a polygon base and triangular faces that meet at a point. Think of the Egyptian pyramids!
